High Court allowed to conduct board exam for 5th, 8th class
The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday gave permission to conduct Class 5 and 8 board exams.
The one-member bench had ordered on March 10 to cancel the fifth and eighth class examination. A single member bench of the High Court had issued an order canceling the board examination.
The government had filed an appeal in the High Court division bench challenging the order of the single member bench which quashed the examination notification. The division bench which heard the appeal today has given the green signal to conduct the 5th and 8th class examination.
The division bench has instructed the government to conduct the examination from March 27. The bench has directed that no questions other than those mentioned in the syllabus can be asked and no one can be failed. Also, the result of the exam cannot be made public. It is also suggested that the result should be delivered to the school only.
